WHAT IS MCD?

MCD (Multi Channel Developers) was founded in 1998 to distribute foreign thematic channels on cable and satellite platforms in Turkey and in a very short time became the exclusive licensor of the channels and began to localize their content.

Since the day it was founded, MCD has found the right outlets on Turkish TV platforms for niche channels such as National Geographic, Eurosport, Eurosport 2, RTL, SAT-1, n-tv, Euronews, Travel Channel, Performance and Hallmark. Later on, MCD began selling advertising for some of these channels starting with MTV Turkey. In 2005, the business took a whole new direction as MCD signed licensing agreements with Viacom first for Nickelodeon then for MTV.

As the exclusive Licensor of these channels, MCD is in charge of their distribution, management, marketing and communications.

MCD has also been the Producer of the Turkish sound of Eurosport and Eurosport 2 since December 2005.

MCD is an affiliate company of Medyavizyon Ltd., a film distribution and production company. Founded in 1991, Medyavizyon is active in the production and distribution of TV and cinema movies and DVD, VCD and CD sales. Medyavizyon also owns one of the largest film libraries in the country.
